The way we watch television has changed significantly in recent years with the introduction of digital channels, streaming services, and catch-up. And yet, overnight TV ratings are still how we measure the success of TV shows. So, what shall we do about TV ratings? Joining me to discuss is comedian and satirist Mark Humphries, whose Channel 10 quiz show Pointless was cancelled earlier in 2019 due to low ratings. He joins the show to talk about the highs and lows of television ratings, discovering Pointless had been axed, and the role of television comedy in a world of changing viewing habits. You can find Mark Humphries on Instagram and Twitter. Thanks for listening to What Shall We Do About...?, it means a lot!
