When did you last ride a bike? Perhaps you're a keen mountain biker, or you love to go for weekend rides with your family. Or perhaps you're like me, and you haven't jumped on a bike since you were a kid. It feels too dangerous to ride your bike in the city, and the weather is too variable to make it a reliable source of transport. And yet, we all know the value in cycling - for our health, and for the environment. Joining the podcast this week is ABC Radio Brisbane broadcaster Katherine Feeney. Katherine is a proud utility cyclist who rides to work every day - even in heels. She offers some great statistics that just might motivate you to get back on your bike, or even take up cycling for the first time. You can hear Katherine Feeney on ABC Radio Brisbane weekdays from 12:30pm local time. Katherine is on Twitter @katherinefeeney and you can see Katherine's cycling adventures on Instagram @KatherineFeeney. The article referenced in this podcast is 'One in five Australian drivers admits to cyclist road rage, survey finds' by Patrick Keneally at The Guardian.
