In 1971, a man identifying himself as Dan Cooper successfully hijacked a Boeing 727 bound for Seattle Washington. He demanded $200,000 in cash and four parachutes. Then, in the darkness of the night, he jumped. Cooper has never been identified and him nor his remains have been located.
