The important thing to remember about it, I tell my clients this, is it's not a defect. It's not something that is wrong with you. You are not lazy. You are not unable to change. It is a survival state that in your life experience was what you used in order to survive the environment, whatever it might be that has occurred in your life, and it's become the default.
