This episode has been a long time in the making. Since the second episode when our most frequent guest to date and true friend of the show, Arielle Faye-Foulds came on and we discussed Bad Boys. During that conversation it came to light that I had not yet seen the 2000’s animated insanity, The Emperor’s New Groove. Normally, I’m pretty averse to Disney films, animated films for children, and David Spade, so I will admit that I was exceptionally hesitant to agree to see this one. Although once I found out that is was Disney’s last fully hand-drawn feature length film I will admit I was drawn in for the historicity . However, once Ari explained its heartwarming place in her family’s lexicon, I started to see the reasons why families will build memories around Disney films.
