One of the very first actors that gets brought up when I talk about the concept of this podcast is Adam Sandler. He is incredibly divisive. One group of people will like him for his comedy but not his dramatic roles, and the other group will like him and hate him for exactly the opposite reasons. He truly seems to be an actor who can't quite break this cycle. So when Spaceman (2024) came out on Netflix, and I saw that, yet again, Sandler is attempting to expand his capacity as a dramatic actor by taking bigger swings. As a result I have since found myself a bit of a convert on his behalf and wanted very much to discuss this particular film with someone. Well boy did I luck out in finding our first ever DUO of guests in long time friends, Arielle Faye-Foulds and Sarah Frieser! While they are both exceptionally thoughtful and insightful film goers, they are also a wonderful duo to listen to. Their rapport is so welcoming and witty that it's akin to sitting in your favourite chair with a delicious warm drink. (You may also recognize Ari from Episode Two - Bad Boys.) This is why I'm so excited to share them both with you as we attempt to enter the SADlerverse. (The sad movies of Adam Sandler).
